DEP officials, Cedar Key officials and three species of marine animals gathered March 19 to celebrate designation of the Cedar Key Marina as a Clean Marina. The current high quality water condition was attested to by sightings of seven manatees, dolphins and a diamondback terrapin just prior to the raising of a Clean Marina flag presented by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

Mayor Paul Oliver and Commissioner Sue Colson were recognized by the DEP for their efforts to protect the water quality of our Marina, as was the City Commission as a whole.
