Officer Sherman James

The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has assigned a new officer to enforce the law on Cedar Key`s clam leases.

Officer Sherman James has been with the Department about three years and has nearly 16 years of law enforcement experience. He will be living locally, after moving from the Jacksonville area.

Officer James has an office at the Marine Laboratory but expects to patrol local waters. He welcomes leads regarding clam poaching.
