Obituary

John Robert Stevens age 74 of Morriston, FL passed away on June 12, 2012. He was born on February 18, 1938 in Williston, FL to John Everett and Marie Stevens. He moved to Morriston, Fl from Inglis, FL 12 years ago. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Sheppard`s Chapel out of Arkansas.


He worked as a Law Enforcement Officer for many years. He worked as a Deputy for Levy County and was Chief of Police for Cedar Key. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, shrimping, oystering, was an animal lover, being outdoors and especially loved being with his family and friends.


He is survived by his wife of 30 years Celeste Stevens; son George Stevens; daughters Julieann Stevens, Vicki Davis (Eddie); brother Everett Stevens (Teresa); sisters Harriet Thompson, Pearl Bradley; grandchildren Breonna Stevens and Shelby Davis and his step-sisters Irene Harden and Cleo Allen.


He was preceded in death by his son Tracey Davis Stevens.


Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Knauff Funeral Home-Williston. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at Cedar Key Cemetery with Revered Todd Pope officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston
