FALL HARVEST DINNER – A SUCCESS!

The Cedar Key Aquaculture Association celebrated 20 years as an organization by hosting a Fall Harvest Dinner this past Saturday in the City Park.CKAA Fall Dinner 2020 2

With perfect fall weather, folks enjoyed camaraderie and a great meal featuring steamed clams (what else?), clam chowder, venison, fried mullet, beans and rice, corn bread, cupcakes, and tea. Food items were packaged to go, and food tents were set up to allow for social distancing.

CKAA Fall Dinner 2020 3All 200 tickets were sold providing the Association with operating funds, especially important as our local festivals were cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A volunteer organization, there are many to thank who contributed to making this event a success, including Laura Adams, Chris Anderson, B&E Seafood crew, Joey & Lisa Cannon, Rose Cantwell, Chamber of Commerce, City of Cedar Key, Sue & Rusty Colson, Heath Davis, Hinkle Family, Anna Hodges, Island Room, Freddie Kaim, Tabitha Lauer, Reggie Markham, Craig Parks, Chris Reynolds, Nancy Sera, Linda Seyfert, Natalie Simon, Dan & Patty Solano, Gretchen Stone, Ian & Hannah Stone, Leslie Sturmer, Judy Treharne, Bobby Witt, and UF/IFAS Shellfish Extension.
