MUCH (MULCH)… MUCH DONE… CEDAR KEY COMMUNITY GARDEN WORK DAY
October 29, 2020

The Thursday, October 29, Cedar Key Community Garden Work Day resulted in a more spruced up garden. So eager in their clean-up efforts were the gardeners that they worked from 9 am to 11 am, an hour earlier than the 9 - noon hours originally planned.IMG 4018

Garden newcomers Tamara and Pat Sheridan, the relentless Bill Rucker, and the constant John McPherson cleaned up most of a mulch bed, toted the contents to areas about the beds, and created a new, neater garden floor bed. Tamara, Peg Hall, and Sandy Witcher raked the mulch into place among the beds and along the walkway through the garden.

Another garden newcomer Anne Miller and Mandy Offerle weeded the Second Street garden entry. Anne transformed the fern and Mexican Daisy encroaching into the walkway into an inviting pathway instead of the jungle it was quickly becoming.IMG 4014

Tom Deverin and Russ Hall did a bit of everything. Peg Hall was acting photographer.
Tom, of course, ably directed the operation.

Do, drop by the Community Garden soon. It’s looking lovely.

Saturday, October 31, is another Work Day. Join us.
You need not be a gardener to help us out and get some good exercise.
Bring a lopper, clippers, a pair of gloves, and/or your smile.
