Levy County Emergency Management is continuing to track and monitor Tropical Storm Eta. The track, intensity, and potential for impacts are still very much in the air.  Additionally, this is going to be a storm we are going to be dealing with for a long time, probably all week, maybe even into the weekend.

Timing: Still don't have a good idea on timing. Most potential time frame of impacts is Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday

Evacuations: No evacuations are expected right now, but we will reevaluate as the track and impact potential becomes clearer. Regardless of track, mass/major evacuations are not anticipated. IF any are needed, they will be very localized and targeted to coastal/flood prone areas.

Sheltering: Sheltering operations are not anticipated, but as with everything else, we will reevaluate as the track and impacts become clearer.

Closures: At this time, there are no government closures expected. As we move through the week, we will reevaluate as needed.

Public Messaging: Continue to take prudent protective measures. Sign up for emergency alerts by visiting www.LevyDisaster.com, prepare for potential power outages, secure any property that may cause damages during high winds, areas that live in low lying/flood prone areas should secure their property from potential flooding, make sure your disaster kits/plans are up to date, and monitor your local news/weather provider for the most up to date information.
