HAPPY THANKSGIVING, FROM THE CK FOOD PANTRY
GOBBLERS DISTRIBUTED
On Wednesday, November 18th, the Cedar Key Food Pantry distributed 64 turkey dinners in addition to its regular food provisions. Your generous donations provided over $1,000.00 in turkeys for us to hand out. Extra volunteers were on hand to carry the heavy birds to patron’s cars and to staff the various stations.

INCREASING NUMBERS IN THESE HARD TIMES
We fed 80 families in all, our highest amount of the year, as we are seeing an increase in patrons arriving at our doors. We anticipate an even higher volume as this winter season arrives and the pandemic escalates.
DONATIONS MOST WELCOME
We appreciate everyone’s support and continue to accept donations for the Cedar Key Food Pantry at PO Box 25, Cedar Key, FL 32625. You may also donate, if you wish, by dropping off your check at the Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center on Second Street.
ALEX’S BIRTHDAY
We would also like to acknowledge Alex, our volunteer of eight years. She celebrated her birthday with us, and we are incredibly grateful for her generosity to the Food Pantry! We surprised her with cake and lots of birthday wishes.

SPECIAL THANKS AT THANKSGIVING
In this season when we celebrate the nation’s bounty, it is most important to recognize those experiencing hard times feeding their families. The Cedar Key community has always been responsive to needs such as these. Without the good will of the individual renting the location, space, to the Pantry, the generousness of the community donators, the Lions Club which provides an endless supply of whole milk, and the volunteers, the Cedar Key Food Pantry could not provide the services that it now does.
The Pantry, its director, and all the volunteers most sincerely thank all of you.
