FOURTH ANNUAL ART FESTIVAL IN SUWANNEE TO GO FORWARD AS PLANNED
November 21, 2020
SUWANNEE, FL – Suwannee Library Technical Center, part of Dixie County Public Library, is planning to host its 4th annual art festival on Saturday, March 15, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Our 2021 Lower Suwannee Art & Nature Festival has been in planning since early this year, but with flexibility in mind as we have watched the progress of COVID-19 locally and state-wide,” says Jane Connors, Suwannee Library manager. “At this point we are moving into full swing with advertising and preparation, keeping in mind that we must have an increased emphasis on health and safety.”
Connors expressed optimism that the event would be able to take place. “Our fully outdoor location, typically breezy March weather and a plan to move booths farther apart than in previous years is giving us confidence,” she says.
Once more the event will fill the grounds of Glen Dyals Park, located at the south end of Highway 349, just outside the waterfront community of Suwannee. Glen Dyals Park is adjacent to the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. The festival will feature local artists, artisans, crafters, food vendors, non-profit booths, music, a guided paddling trip, and more.
“Last year’s festival was smaller due to the virus, but many vendors did well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves,” Connors said. “We encourage both returning and new vendors to contact us as soon as possible to reserve their space.”
Vendor booths are $25 (10 x 10 space). For vendor or general information, contact Jane Connors at This email address is being protected from spambots.
