NEW CKPOTTERY 2019

CEDAR KEY WOMAN’S CLUB AND HAVEN HOSPICE TEAM UP

December 12, 2020

Cedar Key Woman’s Club (CKWC) members are helping the Chiefland Haven Hospice be ready for the new year with another donation of red, white, and blue lap quilts. This donation included over 52 quilts, enough for at least one veteran recognition per week throughout 2021.

These handmade quilts were made by Christine Black, Rosemarie Danesi, Janet Ramsey, Vicki Crumpley, Eileen Senecal, Judy Treharne, Donna Bushnell, Patricia Stephens, and Kathy Salkaln.  Every quilt was machine quilted and bound by Bunny Hand of Cedar Key.

These quilts were made with appreciation for the sacrifices that our military men and women have made to serve our country and protect our freedoms. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Haven staff, rather than volunteers, are hosting the veteran recognition ceremonies for all veteran patients. We thank the staff for taking time from their busy schedules to provide this recognition and give the quilts made by CKWC to the veterans.
