NEW CKPOTTERY 2019
CEDAR KEY SCHOOL FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA...BUSY, BUSY

February 14, 2021

FEB 14 CKS PIC 1This week the Cedar Key FFA and agriculture classes have done a good deed! The students have been working hard in their gardens growing tomatoes, mustard, romaine lettuce, red romaine lettuce, and red mustard. While they only had one tomato to donate (many people across campus have been snacking on them), we did have many, many LARGE heads of romaine and several large bags of mustard to donate on Wednesday at the Cedar Key Food Pantry.FEB 14 CKS PIC 2 20210203 133736

Going into the gardens next week will be 20lbs or about 125 eyes of potatoes. These will be ready to harvest the last two weeks of April. We also currently have 30 broccoli plants in the garden beginning to form their heads of broccoli.

The middle school ag class went out Wednesday and dug the holes down G-Street for the new Cedar Tree project that took place on Cedar Key Arbor Day.

The FFA is also collecting bottle tabs for the Ronald McDonald house.  If you drink a soda, save the tab and drop it off at the CKS front office!
