A DAY AT THE BEACH…
READ THE SIGN…STAY OFF IT

Good idea to stay off the newly filled, environmentally sensitive, very nice, sugary, sandy beach that the whole town worked with Nature Coast Biological Station’s Drs. Savana Barry and Mark Clark to put there.
A couple of visitors, not heeding the sign's warning, got their car very mired in the newly placed sand while trying to pull their boat off the beach. With the help of some very nice people, they were able to free the stuck car from the beach without the aid of a tow truck.
Make no mistake, this isn’t a feel-good story, no matter how many nice people wanted to help. Much hard work went into constructing that beach. Driving on it wrecks it. There will still be some amount of re-storing the damaged beach area for the project to continue.
