the forward speed of the storm has slowed, which will delay the effects to Levy County until very early Wednesday morning into the day on Wednesday.
This will give everyone more time to make preparations which is very helpful given the holiday weekend.
We still don't have a forecast on storm surge values, but maximum models are showing 3-5 AGL, which would be 5-7ft MSL for our area. Additionally, they are now not expecting storm surge issues until Wednesday. As soon as we get better information on storm surge, we will pass it along.
No closures, evacuations, or other emergency actions in place at this time, but that could change at any time dependent on the arrival of updated information from NWS and NHC.

Residents along the coastal areas should prepare for the strong possibility of storm surge beginning early on Wednesday going through the day.
All Levy County should make sure that they are prepared for heavy rainfall and take precautions to protect property.
Double check and/or finish assembling your disaster supply kit.
Double check your property for anything that can be damaging in high winds.
