On October 10 - 11, thieves, or a thief,  broke into cars along Sixth and Eighth Streets in the late night and  early morning hours.  A firearm was stolen, money, change, and other cars' contents  were rifled.   Chief Sandlin has suspect leads and is pursuing them.

Police Chief Virgil Sandlin reminds  residents not to aid the opportunists: be careful, lock up (cars, houses, sheds), and take valuables inside. 

Please, do not add to a thief's advantage and possibly endanger  your neighbors.
