An old classic for the family, and a surprise visit from the North Pole!

The Chief Theatre home of the Suwannee Valley Players (SVP) would like to invite you to experience the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas. The original Charlie Brown Christmas premiered in 1965 and created by Charles M. Schulz. The special was finished ten days shy of its broadcast premiere. One of the animators, Ed Levitt, said it was the best special he’ll ever make and that the show is going to run for a hundred years. Richard Burgheim of Time Magazine praised the show saying it was unpretentious and that “A Charlie Brown Christmas is one children’s special this season that bears repeating.”

Now, in 2018 we are at the 53^rd year of Ed Levitt’s prediction of the show running 100 years. Just over the halfway mark! The show will hit the Chief Theatre stage on December 7 -8 and the 14 -16. That is Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm for two weekends. Sunday, December 9 will mark the exact 53^rd anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas.

The cast will be making an appearance at the Town of Tioga at the Light up Tioga Holiday Celebration event. The celebration is on November 25^th at 4 pm.
