Set for Sunday, March 17 (St Patty's Day) in James Paul Park in High Springs, FL, from 2pm - 4:30. This is a free event open to the public.

Mourning Glories is an old-time/Irish-trad/ghostly-gospel/folk-grass string band formed out of Irish sessions and community contradances in Gainesville, Florida. The band is composed of five old-hearted young people with a passion for preserving and performing traditional music and dance.  Mourning Glories began as Fiona Bas, as an Irish session band in 2012.  For nearly  three years, they hosted an open Irish session the second Wednesday of every month at The Midnight Bar on South Main Street in Gainesville. Eventually Tony & Katrina’s infectious love for old-time led them to include a set of old-time tunes in our repertoire.  One thing led to another and they soon found ourselves hosting contradances and performing at special events and regional festivals and dances.  Their instrumentation includes fiddle, banjo, cello, guitar, penny whistle, and mandolin.   https://mourningglories.bandcamp.com/releases

The Lilly Jane Band to open: The Lilly Jane Band: is trio of women and more with breathtaking harmonies who play a collection of stringed instruments, including guitar, banjo, and fiddle. Their repertoire is an eclectic blend of originals, traditional songs, and unusual covers.
