Meeting Specifics: The Cedar Key City Community Redevelopment Agency met on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 7:22 pm, at Cedar Key City Hall, immediately after the City Commission and the Land Planning Agency Meetings adjourned.    Present were Chair Royce Nelson, Vice-Chair Sue Colson, Heath Davis, Susan Rosenthal, and Jim Wortham.

Staff in attendance included: City of Cedar Key Attorney Norm Fugate, Police Chief Virgil Sandlin, Fire Chief and Emergency Operations Director Robert Robinson, Public Works Director Michelle Petersen, City Clerk Crystal Sharp, Receptionist Telicia Winfield, Building Clerk Jennifer Sylvester, and Legal Assistant to Mr. Fugate Leslie Landress.  

Among those in the audience were: “Coach” William James Rogers, Jr., Dennis Gill, Mary and Phil Prescott, Beth Mizell, George Oakley, Andrew Gude, Steve and Diana Priessman, Allison Nelson, Paul Schaffer, Jon Davis, Jeri and Bob Treat, and Mandy and Frank Offerle.

 CRA MEMBER SWORN IN

Jim Wortham read aloud the “City Oath of Office” and was sworn in as a member of the CRA.  

CRA DIRECTOR APPOINTED

CRA members appointed Crystal Sharp as CRA director.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comment was offered.

SUNTRUST PAYMENTS

Chair Nelson recommended and requested approval to pay SunTrust the entire amount of TIF proceeds in three checks, each designated as follows:

·       $147,320.15 for delinquent 2019 interest;

·       $500,000.00 for principal payment due April 15, 2020;

·       $58,046.12 to be applied to April 15, 2020, interest payment.

CRA member unanimously approved the request.
