CEDAR KEY OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Fifth Annual Cedar Key Open Golf Tournament will be held March 11th, 2020, at Chiefland Golf and Country Club. The tournament will be a four-person scramble with registration at 11:30 am and a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. A bag lunch will be provided by the Big Deck. Prizes, donated by local businesses and community members, and a low country boil, compliments of Ricky Cooke and the Big Deck, will immediately follow the tournament at the Big Deck Bar and Grill on Dock Street, Cedar Key. The tournament is to benefit the Cedar Key High School Scholarship fund. A second beneficiary this year is the Cedar Key Dolphin Project. The event is once again being sponsored by the Big Deck Bar and Grill.
Entry fee is $50 per person. Included in the entry fee is round of golf, cart, bag lunch, prizes, and dinner. Payment is required at sign up. Participants will be limited to the first 20 teams to sign up. Dinner only is available for $15 per person. Reservations for dinner are required.
Donations of prizes for the event are welcome and additional advertising donation opportunities are available to businesses/individuals who wish to sponsor a hole with a tee sign.
Last year’s winners with an outstanding score of 55 were the team of Pierce Kelly, Todd Carter, Stephen Carter ,and Cameron Wintergen.
Milt Gillis ,Joe Brinkman, Skipper Henderson, and Alden Davis placed second with a score of 58.
In it’s four year history, the Cedar Key Open has only been won by the Nature Coast Realty team captained by Milt Gills or the team captained by Pierce Kelly with each team winning twice thus setting up an epic showdown in 2020.
