NEW CKPOTTERY 2019

LIBRARY LECTURE SERIES UPDATE...FEBRUARY 29

...a note from Molly

Hello, All,

The first week in March is going to be HOPPING at the library. We have several great programs coming up, not to mention our fabulous annual meeting (Patchoulis in the house), AND some more of Ken Anglin's famous Brunswick Stew, which sold out in about 10 minutes last year.

Here's the scoop:

Monday, March 2 at 5 p.m. at the library - Magic, Music and Ventriloquism with longtime pro performer, Steve Charney. If you have kids, bring 'em. This show promises lots of laughs and good times.

Thursday, March 5 at 5 p.m. at the library - Preserving Wild Florida, with artist Linda Wilinski. This program is co-sponsored by the Cedar Key Arts Center, and Linda's show will be opening at the center in the coming weekend.

Friday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER: Friends of the Library Annual Meeting with a return performance by our favorite worldwide award-winning duo, Patchouli. Come for finger foods at 6:30, then the short FOL meeting, then the Patchouli performance at 7. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Saturday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER - Annual talk by Dr. Kenneth Sassaman on the archaeological findings around Cedar Key. This talk will focus on the new project re:Atsena Otie, before the Hurricane of 1896. Sassaman also will talk about the new discovery on Raleigh Islands that has received widespread publicity.

Following Ken's talk, our favorite Southern chef, Ken Anglin, will serve up bowls of his famous Brunswick Stew, which he will be preparing on the spot during the talk. Be sure not to miss this one! Last year, we sold out in short order. $5 a bowl, take out.

Hope to see you all this week! Whew!

Molly
