The towns of Inglis and Yankeetown, and the lower Withlacoochee River share a history spanning 150 years. The Port Inglis terminal on Chambers Island, railroad depot, Inglis power plant, and many other structures are no longer present today. Please join us on Wednesday March 18, at 10am, for a presentation by Yankeetown resident, Larry Cohan. Using historic photographs as a guide Larry with offer commentary on the rich history of our community.  
 
The Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve is owned and operated by the Town of Yankeetown and was purchased with funding from the Florida Communities Trust. The Preserve is located at 1001 Old Rock Road, Yankeetown Florida.
