March 2, 2021
Cedar Key Woman’s Club submitted 34 entries to the Greater Federation of Women’s Club, District 5, annual competition in Crystal River February 12. Due to the pandemic, there was no open show where members were able to view the entries.
Once again, Cedar Key Woman’s Club took high honors with 32 ribbons—20 first class, 8 second class, and 4 third class. In addition, three of the four extra special ribbons were awarded to Cedar Key members.
Tish High’s hand-embroidered ivory table runner won the Best in Show Crafts Award and Esta Johnston’s watercolor, “Work Day Done,” received the Best of Show Art Award. The Director’s Choice Award went to Donna Bushnell for her machine quilted Seahorse Quilt.
