As many of you have heard, the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts Working Committee has made a number of changes for the 2021 festival planned for April 17 and 18 in order to host a more COVID-conscience event.
The number of artists has been purposefully reduced so that the booths can be spaced generously down the center of Second Street facilitating one-way flow and eliminating the "tunnel effect” as has been recommended.
Other changes this year only include deferring several artist amenities in order to minimize the number of volunteers needed, limiting the number of food booths to those benefiting Cedar Key School Groups, and suspending other activities in the park to avoid crowding and create an “Art Focused” event.
Advertising has included the Cedar Key School slogan "We are All in This Together. Mask-up, Back-up, Wash-up." With one month to go before festival, the Arts Center is interested in hearing your current COVID-related concerns to our community.
