What`s Happening in February at the Cedar Key Arts Center?

Trash to Treasure Exhibit

Opening Saturday, Feb 6, 4-7 pm - Everyone welcome.

Salon of Cedar Key
Sunday, February 7 - 3-5 pm

I know Sunday is the super bowl but that isn`t stopping us from meeting for the Salon at CKAC. We will meet at the usual time, 3 - 5:00 p.m. The first part of the session will be devoted to a guest speaker, Allison Pascke, who will present slides and discuss her work in porcelain. Afterward, we will have our usual critique session for anyone who brings work to share.

"Allison Paschke, an artist based in Providence RI, will be presenting her work at CKAC.
She holds degrees in ceramics from Kansas City Art Institute and Cranbook Academy of Art. Paschke works with porcelain and other translucent and reflective materials such as epoxy resin, tissue paper, and coated mirrors. Her work is subtle and quiet, with both a sense of emptiness and a rich material presence. Her sculpture and wall pieces offer an intimate experience off the interactive, ethereal qualities of space and light. Visit allisonpaschke.com for more information."

We will still be finished in time for the die hards to get to your football viewing seat.

Also, there are a couple of places open in the monoprint workshop I will be teaching on Mon and Tues. Call Libby at 543-5232 if interested.
