CEDAR KEY SCRUB PRESCRIBED FIRE MONDAY ...CANCELLED AT 7 AM MONDAY

The Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve will be conducting a prescribed fire of up to 140 acres on Monday 2/25/19. Because the prescribed fire will be located right along SR-24 we will have our fire trucks working in the shoulder along the road . To help with both fire fighter and public safety along SR-24 there will be some law enforcement officers parked along SR-24 to help slow down anyone driving past the park. We want to remind the public that if they are driving through smoke they should slow down and turn their headlights on. Attached is a map showing the area of the prescribed fire outlined in red.
