SUNDAY AFTERNOON HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE
Levy County is continuing to very closely watch the track of this extremely dangerous Category 5 storm. The storm currently has sustained winds of over 180mph with gusts over 200mph.
Levy County is currently out of the primary area of concern, BUT, as unpredictable as this storm has been, and the fact that south and east Florida is beginning to do evacuations, you must make sure that you are prepared, JUST IN CASE this thing changes track and the impacts in Levy County increase.
If the dangers to Levy County increase, we will make sure that we keep you up to date with the latest info. Schools and Government Offices will remain closed for Tuesday, expect for the landfill, which will be open for normal hours.
Continue to hope for the best and make sure that you are prepared for the worst.
