NOTE TO CEDAR KEY FROM POLICE

….a note from Cedar Key Police Chief Virgil Sandlin

Many, many thanks to you generous folks of Cedar Key.  The Police Fund you established at the Market was most appreciated and did much to make our days and nights at the Number Four Bridge more comfortable.  I speak for all of us:  Neal  Polimeni, Hector Pagan, and Maria Borwn.

During the closure, approximately 550 cars attempted to cross over Number Four Bridge daily.  On weekdays, police turned approximately fifty around to leave the island.  On weekends, police turned away approximately 200.
