CHRISTMAS TREE IN
CITY PARK 2019

The Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce has presented area residents with 40-foot Christmas tree. Before the tree came to Cedar Key, it resided in Palm Beach on Worth Avenue, not a shabby place.
The tree, like an erector set, came in many pieces and was first constructed into three sections. Then with the use of a mechanical lift, was set in place to create the 40 foot tall tree. The topmost section was boughed, unfurled, and decorated first. Then the topmost section was set upon the middle section; then that is boughed, unfurled, and decorated second. Then the top two sections are placed upon the larger, third section, the base.
In one short day, Chamber staff, members and volunteers, Fire Chief Robert Robinson with Dennis Gill and David Sharp erected the tree, boughed it, and decorated it. The tree is fully decorated and perfectly beautiful.
