 ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL MADE MORE INCLUSIVE

LPA members discussed issues concerning whether doors and the definition of “rear of the building” should be approved by the Historic Preservation Board or by administrative approval when homeowners request a Certificate of Appropriateness. After a brief discussion, doors were added to the list of items requiring only administrative approval. That list currently contains fences, roofs, and windows.

The “rear of the building” proved a more difficult issue. Many buildings in Cedar Key have several entrances which may be viewed from even open on to different streets; the City Hall is an example. LPA members opted to postpone the issue to a later date.

MEETING ADJOURNED

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.4
