Art seekers enjoyed fine weather on the first day of Cedar Key`s Old Florida Celebration of the Arts held April 12 and 13.  Artists' reception in the Arts Center Sculpture Garden.

At an artists`reception hosted by the Cedar Key Arts Center and Cedar Key News, ten thousand dollars in cash awards and eleven thousand dollars in purchase awards were announced by Show Director Missy Jackson. Each winner stepped up to receive a check and congratulations from George Ellis who judged the show.  Show Judge George Ellis with Best in Show winner Jean Yao.

Jean Yao was judged the Best Artistinthe Show, and takes home to Ft. Lauderdale a check for $2000.  Rolly Ray Reel in his booth with one of his 3-D pieces.

Rolly Ray Reel, judged Best 3-D received a check for $1000. Carol Elder Napoli of New Smyrna Beach was judged Best 2-D, and recieved a check for $1000.  Paul Anderson with Judge Ellis.

Paul Anderson of Tallahassee received a special award for creativity and a check for $500. Twelve artists received checks of $500 as awards for ecellence. Three of the artists are shown below.  Linda Molto with Judge Ellis.
