COVID-19 CASES UPDATE

Three Cedar Key School teachers/coaches have tested positive forCOVID-19 this week, confirmed the Levy County School Board Coordinator of Benefits and Risk Management on Friday, January 8, 2021.
The effect of these positive cases is that 22 students and three additional teachers/coaches, Kindergarten through grade twelve, have been sent home to quarantine.
The school regulary houses some 250 students and approximtely 25 teachers/coaches. These numbers reflect approximately 10% of the students and 25% of the instructional staff out of the building.
According to the coordinator citing recent CDC guidelines, teachers an students may return to school after 10 days.
