COASTAL CLEAN UP IN CEDAR KEY

The Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup is on the third Saturday of September each year, September 21 in 2019. The event runs from 7 am- noon and volunteers receive a free t-shirt and hot dog lunch (while supplies last).

To participate, check in at the Cedar Key City Marina starting at 7:30 AM. Volunteers can clean up by boat or on foot. Trash bags are provided but bring your own gloves.

A place is waiting for everyone who wishes to volunteer. Not only are “cleaner-uppers” needed, but people are needed to sort and count the items of debris found. Those counts are forwarded to the Ocean Conservancy; the Conservancy adds them to its total debris count all over the world.
