NOV 5 HALLOWEEN Halloween 17 of 35HALLOWEEN IN CEDAR KEY

November 5, 2019

The Town of Cedar Key celebrated Halloween on Thursday, October 31. In the Cedar Key way, the town went all out. Most of the businesses had representatives passing out candy. Not only were the town’s people passing out treats, but also, they were in costume. The Halloween costumes were exotic with lots of detail. Among them were ghosts, dead men, Jason, superheroes, princesses, gypsies, Indians, and witches. Second Street was lit up with decorations and lighting displays. And candy, there was a ton of candy.CnOV 5 HALLOWEEN olsonFamily

One special feature was the G&G, LLC Lightning’s Spook House. The presentation included ghosts, dead men, a haunted graveyard, skeletons, a man burning alive, and a scary clown who suddenly jumps out in front of you while you are in the dark. It was indeed a very scary place.

One could stand for hours looking at them, and the longer you looked, the more details you would see. Truly scary stuff.

It seemed as if the entire town showed up and everyone, trick-or-treaters, persons handing out candy, and those just there to look were having a good time. Although most of the young trick-or-treaters were there for the candy, there were other reasons given: “A great family event”; “Looking at the costumes”; and, of course, “The haunted house.” Halloween in Cedar Key has something for all.
