On Wednesday, November 3rd, at 1:00 p.m., the Cedar Key Garden Club will host a flower arranging class given by Kathy Fotterall. The class will be held at the Episcopal Church meeting room, located behind the Cedar Key Church of Christ on Highway 24 and 5th Street. For twenty years Katy Fotterall, and her husband Law, owned and operated "Cornerstone Design", a florist shop in Philadelphia, where Kathy's flower arranging artistry took bloom in floral designs for weddings and all types of parties, special functions and events. For many years the Fotteralls participated in the annual Philadelphia Flower Show, one of the most prestigious of its kind in the Untied States. The Fotteralls are now retired and divide their year between Avon, New Jersey and Cedar Key. For the Garden Club class, Kathy will demonstrate flower arranging techniques using fresh, supermarket flower bunches, a gathering of local flora and a variety of container styles. Flower bunches will be available for purchase at the end of the class. Don't miss this very special Garden Club Program, or the important business meeting following the program. |
