SUWANNEE, FL – Suwannee Library Technical Center, part of Dixie County Public Library, will host its first annual Spring Art Festival on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Held in the shady grounds of Glen Dyals Park, adjacent to the Suwannee Library and Fire Department, the festival will feature local artists and crafters, food vendors, non-profit booths, antique cars, Life South Bloodmobile and more. For the children and all animal lovers, Mini Angels Rescue will be there with a petting zoo of adorable small rescue animals. There will also be a bounce house and face painting for the children, plus a fenced playground area with picnic tables.
“We’re excited to be holding this event for the first time,” says Jane Connors, Suwannee Library manager. “It’s an opportunity for local artists and crafters to show their work, plus we hope it will introduce the idea that libraries are important to our north Florida communities in many different, and sometimes surprising, ways.”
Vendor booths are free this year, but a signed vendor form must be requested and returned by April 14.
