Relating Organic Gardening to Conservation

Cedar Key Garden Club

Join us for the Cedar Key Garden Club meeting on Saturday, January 9 at 10 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the Cedar Key Public Library.

Please join us for installation of officers and the presentation by Dr. Jay Bushnell, a retired college teacher, who has been practicing organic gardening since the 1960s. He also operated a honey business from the production of over 200 beehives. Presently, he is the president of the Friends of the Lower Suwannee and Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge. He will share from his vast experience in organic farming, beekeeping, and conservation. All are welcome. Please call Marci at 813 215 0050 for more information.

Jay`s presentation, "Relating organic farming to conservation," will focus on
defining organic farming and how it contributes to conservation. Jay will
provide `food for thought` as to how individuals can apply the principle of
organic gardening or farming to their lives to benefit conservation.
