FUN WITH A FLURRY OF FEATHERS...
CEDAR KEYS AUDUBON

 March 22, 2019

Cedar Key Art Teacher, Tina Hackey, inspires her students with a fun feathery project this month. Classes from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are showcasing their artistic talents by creating whimsical bird masks, using construction paper, glue, and colorful feathers - everywhere! Some of the masks will represent birds found in and around the Cedar Keys, while other masks may be fantastical versions of birds existing only in a student’s imagination!

Cedar Keys Audubon will partner for the fourth time with Tina Hackey’s students by showcasing the bird masks in the Audubon booth at this year’s Celebration of the Arts Festival, March 30-31.

With this collaborative art project, members of the local Audubon Chapter are eager to introduce young students to the wonders of our unique habitat with its many resident and visiting birds.

Please, come by the Cedar Keys Audubon booth (adjacent to the park) to enjoy the gallery of artwork by our blossoming Artists and Naturalists!
