ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will hold a workshop Friday, April 18 in Cedar Key for the purpose of distributing information and receiving public input on proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Shellfish Control Code of the Florida Administrative Code.

The amendment proposes to allow DACS to implement the National Shellfish Sanitation Program Vibrio parahaemolyticus Control Plan by modifying the time limit harvesters have to deliver oysters to a certified shellfish dealer, adjusting container identification language and modifying processing plant operation language.

The workshop will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Sen. George G. Kirkpatrick Marine Lab in Cedar Key.
