Plane Bound for Cedar Key Missing

A light plane departed from Plant City, Florida, reportedly with three people on board, was reported missing sometime around midnight June 6. A search by Cedar Key Police Department, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission personnel and the US Coast Guard had not found the plane as of noon June 7.

Cedar Key Police Chief Virgil Sandlin told Cedar Key News that the identities of those presumed on board the plane have not been released. The search which involves helicopters is still in progress.
