Eddie Richburg

Eddie Richburg age 90, of Chiefland and Cedar Key, Florida passed away on June 4, 2009 in Gainesville, FL. He was born on January 20, 1919 in Cedar Key, FL to James and Addie Richburg. He was a native of Levy County; he was a life long member of the Cedar Key Church of Christ. He worked as a fisherman most of his life as well as owning his own business (Richburg Seafood Company). He was on the Board of Directors for Central Florida Electric COOP as well as serving as president several times; he was also a member of the Commercial Fisherman`s Union. He enjoyed farming and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Myrl Richburg, son Gary Richburg, brothers Mellious Richburg and Ernest Richburg; sister Maggie Martin; 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Richburg was be held on Sunday, June 7 at Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland, FL. Graveside services were held on June 8 at Cedar Key Cemetery with Pastor David Binkley Officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Key Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the care of Knauff Funeral Home-Chiefland.
