September 5, 2018
The Smithsonian’s Crossroads Exhibit has arrived in Cedar Key and was unloaded, in many crates, into the Cedar Key Library on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. The crates will disappear, and the interactive display will be erected in the next few days.
Your opportunity to view the exhibit will be from September 9 through October 20:
Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am until 4 pm;
Sundays through Thursdays from 1 pm until 4 pm.
The Crossroads theme celebrates and shares with the community how Cedar Key is at a literal, as well as many figurative, crossroads. The theme is as simple or as complex one’s’ imagination allows it to be. Cedar Key’s heart literally centers at the intersection of State Road 24 and Second Street. Figuratively, Cedar Key has been at many crossroads threatening its existence and has remained resilient and strong.
The City of Cedar Key hopes you will enjoy the exhibit and invites you to the other Crossroads events in the upcoming weeks. Click here for those upcoming events:
