SATURDAY AFTERNOON  FLOODING UPDATE…3.22 PM

August 17, 2019

Rainfall is continuing throughout the county as is expected to stay steady all day and into tonight.

Road closures are posted on our website at www.LevyDisaster.com. Dozens of roads in Levy County are experiencing some level of flooding, but the majority are south of Chiefland and west of US Hwy 19.  https://www.levydisaster.com/

Major road closures include SR 24 between Bronson and Rosewood and CR 326 between CR 337 and US Hwy 19.

State Road 27, CR 347, and CR 345 are all open. some of those roads will have areas with water across the road, so go through the areas slowly.

As of right now, the School Board has determined that school will be in session as usual on Monday. If that changes, we will let you know.

Phone lines will be open starting Monday to receive damage reports by phone.
