SHEDS IN CEDAR KEY…IMPORTANT CITY NOTICE

The City of Cedar key must be in compliance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Part of that compliance includes not having sheds located in the flood plain. FEMA’s rationale is because, should a storm come, the shed will move, float, damage, etc. one’s own and/or other’s properties or possibly people.

If you have a shed on your property, please, call City Hall at 543-5132. Someone there can help you with further information, to ascertain if your shed is in the FEMA-designated flood plain, and/or how you might move into compliance if needed.
