We are proud to announce the newly formed Humane Society of Levy County, Inc. There has been an outcry for a humane society in Levy County for many years. The Board of Directors was formed and has been setting up the guideline for the organization, which will be rescuing animals from the local shelter. The goals of the Humane Society of Levy County, Inc. is a no-kill organization, which will provide the supportive link during the transition from the shelter to a permanent home. A non-profit organization working for the betterment of the community .The education of the public on such things as pet welfare, spay/neuter, animal cruelty and to educate the citizens about the responsibility of pet ownership. We will be having a membership drive in the very near future. Donations of land and materials to build a facility will be desperately needed to undertake the mission of establishing a spay/neuter clinic.
