The ceremony will honor those men and women from Levy County who have earned recognition for their service from World War II till today. Brown-Waite reached out to the local veterans` community to find eligible applicants. Rep. Brown-Waite`s office then worked with the veterans and the Department of Defense (DOD) to secure the medals. This coin is just a small token of her gratitude to those veterans who served our country so bravely. To be eligible for these coins veterans must live in the 5th Congressional District, have been honorably discharged from the United States Armed Services and have served in either WW II or the Vietnam War. |
