Look Who's Making News By Caely Hibbits The Journalism class has started selling ads for the 2007-2008 Cedar Key School yearbook. They come in all sizes from 1/8 of a page (business card size) to a full page. If you would like to purchase an ad, call the school at (352)543-5223 and a journalism student will contact you about the details. The school pictures were taken Wednesday for all students pre-k through 12th grade. For the second year in a row, 95% of the yearbook will be created on the computer. The journalism students take pictures until the last minute trying to get as many recent pictures in before the deadline. Senior News If you look in the back of the Shark, Cedar Key School's yearbook, among the ads for the local businesses, you can find senior ads. Senior ads congratulate the graduating students on all their achievements throughout the past 12 years. Many include baby pictures and current pictures of the student, friends, and family members and a congratulatory note to the senior. Ads for the class of 2008 are currently being sold. If you are interested in purchasing an ad for your senior, please contact Carmen Doyle at (352) 543-5223. There is a discount for senior ads if purchased before Monday, October second. Seniors need to turn in to the journalism staff a baby picture and a picture of themselves in a recent casual setting. Seniors need to write their name lightly on the back of the picture in pencil so the staff will know who the photo needs to be returned to. All photos will be returned in May when the yearbooks arrive. Please turn in all baby and casual recent photos to Ceciley Bierman in the high school. |
