Rockin' Red Riding Hood
By Zoë Stuber

The musical performance of "Rockin Red Riding Hood" was presented to introduce drama to the middle and elementary school students last Thursday. The production was made possible by the State Touring Program Grant, through the Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs. It included workshops taught by the Atlantic Coast Theatre for the middle school, and pre-show and post-show activities for all who attended. Jessi Robison says, "It was a great show. I think everyone who saw it liked it a lot. I am glad we are getting to focus on drama."

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13 K

Caely Hibbits finished second place in the Walt Disney World "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13k" with a time of 1:23:23, in her age group. Zoe Stuber finished fourth in her age group with a time of 1:19:58. Micah Shelby came in fifth place with 58:50, and on his heels was Justin Speegle in sixth place only 20 seconds behind Micah Shelby. Joseph Bishop took eighth place only four minutes and twenty-eight seconds over one hour.
Trophies were given to participants who finished in first through third places in their given age groups. The race was approximately 8.1 miles long and looped around Walt Disney World's streets and through the park MGM. The race was scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m., but due to traffic it was postponed until 9:50 when the roads had been cleared. The park was open to runners and speculators only and was kept open until 1:00 am.
