DSCN4797UF, CITY CONTINUE COLLABORATION

March 27, 2020

The University of Florida and the city of Cedar Key have collaborated and supported one another for many years.  Thant partnership has grown geometrically since the Nature Coast Biological Station arrived on the island.DSCN4798

A recent effort is raising salt marsh plants to help establish living shorelines on the island, particularly along G Street and Airport Road.

Next time you walk in Cemetery Point Park, note the grasses there.  The grasses will eventually populate G  Street or Airport Road.  Great use of space; great collaboration.

These pictures are taken as one walks off the boardwalk and enters onto the palth off to the right.
