JUNE IN THE CEDAR KEY COMMUNITY GARDEN…PRETTY NICE
July 2020
June has been a very warm month, but thanks to a newly broadened irrigation system inspired by Tom Deverin and actualized by Joe Hand and Doug Lindhout, all is well in the Garden.
The two new crepe myrtle trees planted this winter near the tool stand are blooming, as are their pink and white fellows along the center path.
While it is tough for venerable gardening in this heat, some beds continue to look lovely and flowers and caladium are rampant…though a bit exhausted late in the day.
Hope you enjoy a snapshot of the Garden in June. July pictures will be next.
