PEANUT BUTTER ABOUNDS
AT THE FOOD PANTRY!
December 7, 2020

Thanks to University of Florida’s Institute for Food and Agricultural Sciences, the Cedar Key Food Pantry has become the recipient of 650 pounds of peanut butter!  One of the most protein rich food staples available, and often expensive, the peanut butter came in varying quantities: small, medium, and family size.

Carefully masked up and available for unloading the delivery truck and transferring the peanut butter jars to inside shelving were Cedar Key School’s Parent Teacher Organization President Lisa Custer and her able assistants, William Stephenson and Isaac Custer.  Organizer, orchestrator of the action, and chief unloading and shelving operator was Russ Colson.

The nutrient-rich peanut butter was delivered on Friday, December 4, 2020, for distribution to Food Pantry participants on Wednesday, December 9.
