Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hodges of Cedar Key are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Ashley Lane to Lieutenant Robert John Ice of Chiefland. Ashley, a graduate of Cedar Key High School, is currently a senior at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is pursuing a degree in Art History and is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Miss Hodges is the paternal granddaughter of Frances Hodges and Gene and Annette Hodges, and the great granddaughter of Mildred and Randolph Hodges of Cedar Key. She is the maternal granddaughter of Joyce and Lloyd Stephens, also of Cedar Key. Rob is the son of Robert and Susan lce of Chiefland. He is the paternal grandson of Frances Ice and the late Bob Ice, and the maternal grandson of Emilia Reidy and the late John Reidy, all of Chiefland. Lieutenant Ice is a graduate of Cedar Key High School. In 2003, Rob received a Bachelors degree in Management from the United States Air Force Academy and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant upon his graduation. He is currently taking part in Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas. A wedding celebration will be held on January 1,2005, at the home of Rob and Sue Ice in Chiefland. The couple will then be married in a private ceremony in the Florida Keys.
