Where else can you lose a race and still win $50?  Ralph Brooks got a surprising phone call Sunday afternoon saying that his duck #392 was the last duck over the finish line.  Ralph received his prize and went off to spread his new winnings at the Yankeetown Seafood Festival.   The winning duck #231 was sponsored by Sheree Robbins. Duck #231 yielded a $200 prize. Sheree is pictured with Ellen Klee donating $100 of her winnings back to the Friends. 

All proceeds from the race go towards the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve (WGP) and the Ellie Schiller Education Center, 1001 Old Rock Road, Yankeetown, Florida.  If you missed a sponsorship this year, watch for us next year at the Yankeetown Seafood Festival.  In the meantime, visit our website ( withlacoocheegulfpreserve.com ) to see upcoming programs and events at the WGP.
